2008 trip to B & C Volkswagen Service
There are many, many VWs stored around this shop in Freeburg, MO. Our goal is to rent a passenger van and take up to 12 people to visit with Mike and Laurie McCurdy, tour his facility and have a luncheon with his staff. Many of us have cars that need repair and parts. This is a great introduction to what Mike has to offer. There are other projects that can be picked up a this location.

2009 Calendar of Events

For 2009, the Gateway VW Club has established a Tour Committee to setup events for club members to participate.

The goals of the committee were:

    1. Maximize Participation from Club Members 2. Not waste the time of the organizers 3. Create Visibility of VWs and Gateway VW Club 4. Attract new members to club and keep existing users

Events for 2009 and the named leader(s):
    1. Technical Sessions - Mike Richardet 2. Cruises - Mike & Mary Ann O'Reilly, Pat Buckley 3. Shows - Kurt Ledger, Perry Lane 4. Parades - Steven Pautz 5. Campouts - Bill Bowman

Easter Car Show - Forest Park (Show as a group)
THE CLUB HAS DECIDED NOT TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS SHOW AS A GROUP. YOU MAY STILL ATTEND AS AN INDIVIDUAL The Gateway VW Club will be showing their VWs as a group at the Easter Car Show at Forest Park, St. Louis. Please note that since I64/Hwy 40 is closed for 2008, you will need to find the best route to get to the park.

Manchester Car Show
This event was to be Valley Park's Party in the Park - but is now the Manchester Car Show. The club is planning on participating in the Manchester, MOCar Show on Sept 6, 2008.

Does anyone have a "torque dude" tool (multiplies torque for removing and installing flywheel gland nut) that they can lend or rent to me for a couple of weeks?
